Second Edition

First Edition

Views on Misunderstanding is the first monograph of Musa paradisiaca’s work.

Richly illustrated, and composed using a process of assemblage of works realised in different media — sculptural, pictorial, textual and sound-based — the images establish dialogues that would otherwise be inaudible. Conveying a series of voices gathered from and around Musa paradisiaca, the publication includes newly commissioned essays, as well as short-form dialogues.

Firstly published in 2018, the cover features a silver metallic pantone over an off white background. The second edition, re-printed in 2021, offers a distinctive visual with two complementary vibrant tones of green and pink.

The book is co-published by Galeria Municipal do Porto and Bom Dia Books.
